When i saw this on the Straits Times Digital Life section i am amazed that it has come to Singapore this fast.

This is not your typical 3G modem but rather it is a portable wireless router that you can carry it any where you can.

Positives:

  • Very small size. Near card size (62 x 98 x 15.3)mm
  • WIFI up to 5 computers within a 10 meters radius
  • 1500mAh battery said to last for 4 hours
  • Easy one button operation. push and you can connect
  • SD card slot to offer central storage to the 5 computers
  • WEP WPA WPA2 encryption
  • Very configurable

When i see this all i can think of is how people will be interested in this baby to go with their ipod touch. This would mean that they can surf net wherever they are if they subscribe to a broadband on mobile plan.

Not just that i believe alot of WIFI enable PMP would like this as well.

Do note that this is not the only option as you can always use a 3G WIFI enable Symbian phone with the software Joiku to act as a wireless router for your ipod touch.

For windows mobile phone there is always the very pricey WMWIFIROUTER software that turns your windows mobile phone into a wifi router.
