Using your Android Phone as a Wifi Router/hotspot or Tethering device

The next release of Android codename Froyo will promise usb tethering and using your device as a wifi router.

Do note that Wifi routing is very battery draining but an awesome experience should your laptop need to connect to the internet ASAP.

    Hi Ollie, thanks but i think you gotta wait until Froyo comes out. And when it does, you should be able to.

    I own an ipod touch and love the apps on it and i am not willing to spend on an iPhone so i use my old very bad o2 atom with wmwifirouter app to turn my phone to a wifi router to tether connection to my ipod.
