Windows Phone 7 Approval Process Kills App Development on the Platform

When you read articles like this it makes you think why Microsoft was disappointed with Windows Phone 7 take up:

GooNews (see video review) was one our favorite apps on Windows Phone as it not only offered a nice, smooth UI for accessing Google News, but also allowed you to have custom feeds. The app was free, then $0.99 or ad-supported and was really the only one of its kind (as far as we know).

Developer Shawn Wildermuth has reluctantly given up on GooNews, pulling it from the Marketplace, despite very positive user feedback. The reasons come down to frustration with the app approval process, inconsistencies in approval and just plain running out of steam.

Windows Phone 7 copy and paste looks a copy of iPhone

Take a look at this video of the copy and paste implementation for Windows Phone 7 that is due in 2011.

It looks awfully difficult. Certainly more so than iOS. Android and Windows Phone 7 are all copying what Apple did for their iPhone

In fact everyone is copying their method of text selection. It shows how well in-tune Apple is when it comes to User Experience engineering.

Browser Comparison: Windows Phone 7 is rocking vs iPhone and Android!

To all those skeptics that thinks that Microsoft will forever screw up, here is a take on their mobile internet explorer.

It shows that they don’t get the checkboards that iPhone has while scrolling up and down fast and that it loads faster than Android 2.2.

Morale of the story: Be unbiased when evaluating your future handset purchase lol.
